Pastry Chef Joan Repato shows us how to create edible art using our variety of Dreidoppel Flavor Pastes! Floral, citrus, fruity or boozy - the sky is the limit. Cut into desired shapes and use them to decorate your favorite treats!
Mix all ingredients together in a mixer until they come together.
Knead and wrap tightly in plastic wrap until ready to use. Wrapping your marzipan tightly is important because exposure to air will dry out your marzipan. Placing your wrapped marzipan in a Ziploc bag adds extra protection from air exposure.
Cut into decorative shapes and use in chocolate bars, for cake decoration and more! Firmly press marzipan into silicone molds that contains a lot of details, ensuring that you are getting the marzipan into all of the nooks and crannies. Find the mold used for this recipe here.
Remove excess marzipan. Freeze or refrigerate your marzipan filled silicone mold until the marzipan is very firm (5-10 minutes in the freezer or 20 minutes in the refrigerator).
Remove marzipan carefully from the silicone mold. Store your beautiful marzipan pieces in an airtight container until ready to use. Any messed up pieces can be re-kneaded and re-used.
Recipe Note:
Tip: If you want stronger flavor, increase the dosage of Dreidoppel Flavor Paste and reduce glucose syrup by the same amount.
