Directions
Cake Donut Recipe
Grease your donut pan.
Pour batter into a pastry bag.
Pipe a ring of batter into your donut molds. We got our baking pans on Amazon!
Put into the oven and bake for 15 minutes at 350°F.
Cool on baking rack before dipping into glaze.
Glaze #1: Condensed Milk
Mix everything in a bowl that's large enough to dip your donuts into.
Dip the donut into the glaze, let set, and dip 3 times to get a nice, thick glaze on top. If not eating right away, refrigerate. However, they are best eaten the same day.
If decorating, sprinkle the topping while glaze is still wet.
Glaze #2: Powdered Sugar
Mix everything in a bowl large enough to dip the donuts in.
Dip donuts into glaze, let set, and dip 3 times to get a nice, thick glaze on top. If not eating right away, keep refrigerated. However, they are best eaten same day.
If decorating, sprinkle the toppings while glaze is still wet.
Recipe Note:
If you are looking for a thicker, creamier glaze, create Glaze #1. This glaze does not fully set and has a tackier texture, similar to caramel. The powdered sugar glaze (Glaze #2) is thinner and more opaque than the condensed milk glaze. This glaze will solidify over your donuts but will melt in your mouth as soon as you take a bite!
