Flavored Simple Syrup Recipe
Our kitchen must-have of the season? Simple syrups in assorted flavors! Easily whip up specialty cocktails, lattes, salad dressings and more! The possibilities are endless!
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 Cup Water
- 3 Tbsp. Dreidoppel Flavor Paste (or more to taste)
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 Cup Water
- 1 Tbsp. per vessel: Dreidoppel Flavor Paste (or more to taste)
Directions
- Pour 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 cup of water into a saucepan.
- Heat the mixture until the sugar is dissolved. Stir consistently so that the sugar does not stick to the bottom of the saucepan. This take about 3 minutes.
- Remove the syrup from heat and let cool.
- After the mixture has cooled, stir in your flavor paste and mix well. Try the mixture and stir in more paste if needed.
- Pour mixture into a container and store in the refrigerator.
- Pour one cup of granulated sugar and one cup of water into a saucepan.
- Heat until sugar is dissolved. Stir consistently so that the sugar does not stick to the bottom of the saucepan. This takes about 3 minutes.
- Remove the syrup from heat and let cool.
- After the mixture has cooled, stir in your flavor paste and mix well.
- While mixture is cooling, pour the water into the vessel you are using to store the simple syrup.
- Pour that water into a glass measuring cup and mark how much fluid will be going into each vessel. Pour out water.
- Now pour that amount of simple syrup into your glass measuring cup.
- Add 1 tablespoon of desired flavor paste and mix well. Taste the mixture and add more flavor paste if needed.
- Transfer the flavored mixture into your container.
- Seal with cap and store in refrigerator. Continue this process until you have completed filling the jars of simple syrup. We were able to fill three 2 oz jars with this recipe.
